ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.       Coordinate and train assistant public defenders in trial cases.

2.       Insure indigent and juvenile cases are defended in court.

3.       Manage the public defenders office.

4.       Negotiate with DA office for plea bargains, cases, etc.

5.       Establish budget for PD office.

6.       Manage office functions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.       Lawyer, Texas Bar qualified.
