Warrants & Collections

The Warrants & Collections Division plays a vital role in the Sheriff's Office. Under the Warrants function, this office ensures the status of warrants in Wichita County remains current. THis office serves as the contact point with other law enforcement agencies, the courts, and the jail when determining the status of an offense.

Under the Collection function, the office takes action to ensure collection of courts costs/fees and fines imposed by any of ten courts in Wichita County. Though now mandated by law, the Collections Division was initially started as a Commissioner's Court intiative prior to be turned over to the Sheriff's Office in 2004.  The Texas Office of Court Administration provides oversight on Collections in Wichita County.
