The Civil Division has three deputies and one clerk working under the direction of a Sergeant. Civil serves civil and criminal process in issued not just in Wichita County Offices. Papers that originate from other counties, district and federal courts are also served through the Civil Division.
Additionally, the Civil Division assists the Patrol Division, Transport Division, and CID when needed.

Complainants filing court instruments can expedite service if they leave a daytime and nighttime phone number where they may be reached. Always retain you case number and use it when inquiring about your case after filing it with the courts. Deputies do not perform investigation and the best service will be obtained by providing accurate and recent information about each case.
The Wichita County Sheriff's Office has specially trained deputies to handle the sensitive situations that may arise when serving Mental Health papers.
